This book is by far one of the best Sherrilyn Kenyon novels that I have read. I loved the way it travelled between characters and how it meshed with previous stories to lead it into the current series.

While reading Acheron I could not even stand the thought of Styxx, but after reading his story I have to admit that I've fallen in love with this multi-layered character and that I actually prefer him to Acheron. "Don't judge a book by its…

I have always kinda wished that this were a straight-up fantasy series. I felt more strongly about it after reading Acheron, where the bulk of the book was romance-free, and after Styxx, I'm convinced. The world building and characters and…

I was hesitant to read this after reading Acheron and the explosive, detailed abuse that was represented. Boy am I glad I did. It was fantastic to read about Styxx and no less shocking really to see he suffered right along with Acheron.…

I appreciate that Kenyon is trying to redeem Styxx and therefore his story must be more graphic than Acheron's but frankly this book is too much. Between all the abuse, rape and who knows what else the book becomes tedious. It's over 800…

This book is too long. Kenyon has spent a really long time taking Acheron's side, making his brother seem like a shit. Therefore, she choose to reveal his story in one giant tome, instead of having it revealed piece by piece and I think…

Book 23 of Dark Hunter novels; preceded by Time Untime and followed by The Son of No One; about Styxx and Bethany. This was a very long book (836pgs). The beginning was a bit hard to get through as Styxx was virtually unknown (other than…

I liked the book, but anyone who is troubled by very graphic scenes of physical, sexual, mental and emotional torture might want to think twice. The story line really connects threads from previous books in the series but the book IS…

Even though there is no denying that there was rape, torture, and despair, this book doesn't deserve low ratings. It was a terrific read and it was well worth the wait. Don't get turned off by the few bad comments and read this…

I'm note sure if I liked it or hated it. Very disturbing scenes of child abuse, incest, male on male rape, gang rape, torture. The last 200 pages were ok. The end of the story left a lot of question and a set up for future books.

Same story as Acheron. Eight hundred pages of rape, torture and despair. Couldn't take it.

Three quarters of the book is more of a alternate history fantasy romance novel with the last part in present day. Very well done. Excellent Read.
