Spanning from New York in the '30's with Kittie and Ogden Milton to the later grand-kid's generation Blake keeps the reader engaged and interested. She diligently places us with each character pondering the challenge in thinking, doing, and feeling in relationships frought with prejudice, upbringing, and living with thinking of the times. Many of the issues exist today cloaked in our conditioning. Love, loss, and personal history make this a captivating read.
