I did find this movie very enjoyable, although it is definitely a sophomoric effort compared to the first one. The opening scene with Diana on Paradise Island is pretty much only there for the sake of the trailer; it has nothing more than a vague thematic parallel with the rest of the movie, and can be skipped without costing you anything. After that we get some fun 80s romping and character establishment, all of which is pretty good, and then at the halfway point we get to the more actiony stuff, which is even better (as long as you don't mind a lot of "just go with it" nonsense, much of which is only there to pander to geeks and fanboys, and detracts from the movie's success as a story rather than as a Wonder Woman thing). Unfortunately, the film doesn't really stick the landing; the climax attempts to be emotionally resonant, but mostly just comes across seeming confused. So there's a lot of good stuff in this film, but it's still very imperfect. I would rank it as less good than Aquaman, but better than Justice League, both of which are neither excellent nor terrible IMO.
